For many Poles, this name is primarily associated with the tragic bombing on the first of September nineteen thirty-nine, which is considered the beginning of the Second World War. Wieluń can boast several beautiful temples, each with its own character and history. There are both historic churches dating back to past centuries and newer parishes established in response to the needs of the growing city.
